The idea is intentionally simple. You answer a set of questions about yourself. Buddyz then turns those answers into a private quiz with your name on it. You send the link to as many friends as you like, and each of them tries to guess how you answered. At the end, everyone lands on a shared leaderboard that ranks who came closest to knowing the real you. Answer 15 questions honestly

You'll be asked a series of everyday questions about your habits, tastes, and small personal quirks. There are no right or wrong answers here — the more honestly and specifically you answer, the more interesting and fair the quiz becomes for the people guessing. Rushing through with generic answers tends to make the quiz less fun, because there's nothing distinctive for your friends to actually know.

Once you finish all 15 questions, Buddyz instantly builds a private link tied only to your quiz. Nobody can see or take your quiz without that exact link, which keeps the whole thing contained to the people you actually choose to share it with.

Step 2 — Sharing it with friends

The link Buddyz generates is built to be shared anywhere text can be sent — WhatsApp groups, Instagram DMs, group chats, or even posted publicly if you want a bigger crowd to try. Because the quiz lives on the web rather than inside an app, nobody you send it to needs to download anything or make an account. They open the link, see your name and a short introduction, and can start guessing immediately.

Every quiz link on Buddyz automatically expires seven days after it's created. This isn't a limitation so much as a design choice: friendship quizzes are meant to be a quick, in-the-moment thing you do with the people around you right now, not a permanent record sitting online forever. Once the week is up, the link simply stops working and shows an expiry screen instead.

Step 3 — Guessing and the leaderboard

When a friend opens your link, they go through the same set of 15 questions — except instead of answering about themselves, they're guessing what they think you said. After each question they submit their guess and move to the next one, and at the end Buddyz compares every guess against your real answers to produce a score.

That score then appears on a shared, real-time leaderboard alongside everyone else who has taken your quiz. As more friends play, the leaderboard updates instantly, so you can watch in real time as people compete to see who actually knows you best. Buddyz also assigns a friendship tier based on the score — ranging from a casual acquaintance level all the way up to labels like "Certified Bestie" for the friends who get almost everything right.

Privacy and how your data is handled

Buddyz was built to require as little personal information as possible. There are no accounts, no passwords, and no email addresses collected anywhere in the process — the only piece of information involved is the name you choose to type in, and that's entirely up to you. Your answers and your friends' guesses are stored only for as long as the quiz link is active, and they're only visible to people who actually have that specific link.

Because nothing is indexed publicly and every quiz expires automatically after seven days, there's no long-term footprint left behind.
